FAQ Discover the frequently asked question
Is it necessary to cut the flowering stem of the Précosem variety?
It is advisable to castrate the flowering stem of the Précosem variety in order to obtain higher yields from larger bulbs. Garlic puts part of its energy into the flowering stem, rather than the bulb. By cutting the flowering stem, the energy concentrated in the flowering stem is redirected towards the bulb.
This also facilitates harvesting in the case of mechanical harvesting.
