A very late garlic with a long shelf life (until May), making it possible to bridge the gap with the fresh garlic of the new season. This garlic is divided into different types and arrives later than Clédor.
The Flavor variety, later than Clédor, is a garlic to be planted in January or February for harvesting in July. Its bulbs are very regular, ivory-colored with pink-skinned cloves inside. Flavor bulbs are highly divided and contain numerous cloves inside. A variety with good yield potential, Flavor thrives in all types of soil, with a strong root system. Its very high dormancy makes it an interesting garlic variety for bridging the gap with next year's fresh garlic. It's an easy-to-grow spring variety, appreciated for its good yield and excellent post-harvest shelf life.

Why plant garlic from certified seed?
The certified garlic plant is a guarantee of sanitary traceability and quality. Certified garlic seed is obtained by complying with the strict specifications of the Service Officiel de Contrôle (S.O.C.).

Receive garlic bulbs or bulblets ready to plant?
You can choose to receive your certified seed garlic in bulb or clove form. EARL du Pont Vert is able to offer you a garlic de-bushing service. You'll receive garlic cloves ready for planting.
However, garlic bulblets can only be stored for a very short time between destoning and planting (around one week). This means that when you receive certified garlic seed, you must be able to sow it immediately, i.e. the soil must be prepared and the weather conditions suitable for planting.
